Here are the photos from Hershey this year – it was a WELL DESERVED couple of days “off” for me, and the weather was absolutely spectacular!
Honestly, Hershey is truly heaven on earth for car guys like me, and I was wandering around both days very happy and content. Enjoy!

-
Classic hershey in the first photo – a Cord project car!
-
-
Cord Interior
-
-
Pretty radical for a Hudson!
-
-
I LOVED this! This is a rusty chassis of a 1903 curved dash Olds – REPLICA! This is a 1950’s curved dash Olds replica that is now a collectible in itself! The irony of this just really got to me – this hobby has been going strong for a LONG time!

1913 Overland Touring
-
-
Overland engine
-
-
Plenty of signs of every kind! This reminds me of a discount bread store my mother used to take us to when I was a kid!
-
-
Ahhh – seeing this makes me really feel at home!
-
-
1916 Chevrolet Touring
-
-
1958 Chevy Impala 2-door hardtop – I went on my first date in high school in a car JUSt like this – except blue – in the Fall of 1988…
-
-
A freshly restored Pierce-Arrow in the Pierce-Arrow club tent.
-
-
Tandem bike – $80…
-
-
This Austin Healey will be auctioned off later this year – a very low mileage original – barn fresh!
-
-
Not sure of the year on this National speedster – but I LOVE it!
-
-
Probaboy right around 1910-1912 if I had to guess – with a monster 4-cylinder T-head (though I overheard several people say it was a V-8 with much authority…)
-
-
This Rambler is at Hershey every year – also a favorite of mine from the Brass Era.
-
-
A Stanley Steamer project.
-
-
Details…
-
-
Big Cadillacs from the late 50’s and early 60’s – the era when they ruled!
-
-
I just read (listened to…) a book about an adventure along the Oregon Trail – you can find anything here!bo
-
-
Vintage Ford racer
-
-
This 1924 Dodge Touring came with TONS of spare parts!
-
-
A weird little Crosley from a parade LONG ago…
-
-
It’s occupants were SPOOKY looking!
-
-
But the price was right I guess…
-
-
The view of the Flea market from up on the hill – the white just below me in this shot are the letters of the “Welcome to Hershey”
-
-
Jaguar – Mark V?
-
-
T-Birds – one of each year – ’55, ’56, and ’57!
-
-
A 1961 Buick Electra (I think…)
-
-
1960 Cadillac
-
-
1920 Paige Detroit – we were REALLY into Paiges in the early 1990’s, and I still have a 1927 6-75 racer project…
-
-
The V-radiator of the earlier Paiges.
-
-
Paige dash.
-
-
Paige engine.
-
-
1963 Studebaker Avanti.
-
-
early 1950’s Buick.
-
-
The first E-0Type we ran into – a 1964 OTS “driver” with a horrendous paint job…
-
-
The car looks good here, but the metallic paint was some of the worst I have ever seen – sorry…
-
-
Interior was all original, and overall, it was a pretty good car for restoration with alot of originality, but it was not priced that way…
-
-
Interesting little “car”…
-
-
The annual Ford retractable photo.
-
-
This is a beautiful car – I would have one of these…
-
-
The retractable’s “trunk” – better put your stuff in here, or the top will mash it when it comes down!
-
-
Next E-Type – 1968 Series 1.5 Auto 2+2.
-
-
This was also a “driver”, with bodywaor that left a little to be desired, but on this car, the price was VERY reasonable, and alot of E-Type fun for the money!
-
-
The white interior is a littel strange – but also familiar…
-
-
This car was ready to go – I think it was the best deal of the show, and you know I am partial to 2+2’s!
-
-
A “pagoda” Mercedes SL roadster
-
-
Next E-Type was this very presentable Series 1 OTS, but I did not see an owner or a price.
-
-
Very nice, though…
-
-
1959 Cadillac Eldorado “Biarritz” – the extra chrome trim on the side gives that away.
-
-
You rarely see a Stingray in Primrose!
-
-
Barn Fresh!
-
-
1958 Oldsmobile
-
-
Lots of American “muscle” – not sure if the T-Bird qualifies though…
-
-
A very clean 1960 MGA roadster.
-
-
I believe this is a Dodge, though I don’t know the year – probably about 1940…
-
-
This really tired AMX was SO typical of the stuff teenagers were driving around when I was in high school in the late 1980’s – ratty, ugly color, and this particular car was actually overheating while I took the photos – also typical!
-
-
It made me feel like I was back in my high school parking lot!
-
-
Delorean!
-
-
This one was very clean!
-
-
Another 1959 Cadillac
-
-
VW Microbus – with all of the trimmings!
-
-
This E-Type was pretty nice – the cleanest I saw.
-
-
The price was probably right in the ball park for the current market.
-
-
Engine bay was clean and mostly correct.
-
-
Interior was fresh, but the attention to detail was lacking – especially around the center console, etc. It takes ALOT of hours to get all of that just right, and this one could have used a little more time.
-
-
This shot of the rear reveals that the fit and finish of the bodywork needed a littl;e extra time as well, but then again, I’m spoiled – I have seen “the best” in person at the big auctions, and they have THOUSANDS of hours in them. So overall, this car was not bad.
-
-
Another shot of the triple SU carbs.
-
-
There were several of these running around town when I was a kid as well…
-
-
A Crosly fire truck?…
-
-
I’ll say!
-
-
Only at Hershey do you see big 1950’s Cadillac fins and the front end of a first generation Olds Toronado in one shot!
-
-
The Toronado’s front-wheel drive, 455 cubic-inch powerplant.
-
-
Late in the day, I made the annual trek to the Chocolate store to pick up some goodies for the kids.
-
-
It’s tucked back in here at the end of probably the most picturesque sidewalk in the world – for me at least!
-
-
Inside “Chocolate World”

-
On the way back to the truck, I saw this sign. Is this real?… Seems like it would be worth a fortune if it is. It’s probably real, but not THOSE Wright Brothers…
