Here are some new panels that we have made for customers over the past few months. Take a look and see if any of these could be useful on YOUR E-Type!
- Following along with our popular covered headlamp conversion pieces for Series 1.5 and 2 E-Types, we now offer a complete kit for the Series 3 V-12 E-Type as well. This kit includes a set of our conversion flanges, stock SEries 1 headlamp scoops, and a set of custom Series 3 headlamp diaphragms modified to accept the Series 1 headlamp bucket.
- The headlamp diaphragm is the key on the Series 3 cars – this piece has never been offered before – like many of our other panels, we are the only source – worldwide!
- Here is another shot – like all of our panels, it is made of the proper 19-gauge cold-rolled steel, with precise dimensions to place the headlamp in the proper location.
- I figured someone would eventually call about this – and they finally did about a month ago. These are 3.8 pedal box top panels – but are for the earliest cars. unlike later 3.8 E-Types that have a long rectangular hole that is relieved to a dished section of the support bracket below, these earlier style (1961-62) panels have a little dished area for brake linkage clearance.
- I ended up spending MANY hours getting this shape just right…
- It is EXACT – of course…
- This is a complete set of panels to convert a Series 2 E-Type Fixed-Head Coupe (or 2+2) to Series 1 specs in the tail section. All of these pieces are precise replicas of the factory pieces that make up the rear of a Series 1.
- Series 1 license panel with stiffeners that serve as the shelf for the wooden boot floor.
- The Series 1 FHC and 2+2 license area surround with license lamp mounting holes.
- Filler panels that go in directly above the bumper seam, and below the Series 1 tail-lamp.
- The outer Series 1 support brackets – these are tricky little devils!
- Now we’re getting fancy. These are boot filler panels that go behind the boot floor just to the sides of the license area. These have been available for years from the usual sources, and they are HORRIBLE! Ours are hand made on and English wheel by me personally – they are 100% correct in boch curvature and the edges.
- This is the coupe version of this piece, with the edge turned in at 90 degrees.
- Same set of panels, but for a roadster this time – most things are the same, the main difference being the area right around the license plate. on the roadster, the license lamp mounting panels are small D-shaped panels, while the roof of that area is a seperate, wide panel that spot-welds in right under the drip channel of the rear lower tonneau. On both the coupe and the roadster, we recommend removing, modifying, and replacing the existing Series 2 rear lowerr tonneau panel, and we will walk you through that procedure.
- These are the roadster boot floor fillers (above) – they have a different inside egde that is stepped, where the chrome surround finisher is attached. Below those are a MM specialty panel – this is a compound curved section that is used to extend the Series 2 rear lower side valances all the way back like the Series 1 pieces. These little curved triangles allow you to complete this tail conversion without removal of the complete rear lower valances.
