Next, it was time to get rid of some cars. We sold the 1970 Coupe to a British gentleman outside of DC, and delivery was included in the price. So it was back on the road again! He had several other Jags that were very interesting cars, and it was a good trip – we subtracted stuff from the new building and added funds!
- I never get tired of seeing this in the rearview mirror – I love this job!
- She sure looks SMALL behind the truck! I think the camera angle is adding to that effect, though…
- This is the I-95 bridge over the Susquehanna in Havre D’Grace, MD -0 the Millard E. Tydings bridge. This thing is scary! YOu just drive out into free space about 200 feet off the river, and if it’s windy, LOOK OUT! On this morning, the fog made it look like you were driving off the edge of the earth – the picture was taken just a little too late, because by now, the other side of the river valley was starting to materialize…
- Here’s her new Home – and a sister cat that was REAL CLOSE by build date!
- This was a good, clean, driver E-Type. It is headed back across the pond I think.
- Hmmmm – not sure that wheel is factory…
- OK – NOW we’re getting somewhere! Good luck in your new home, old girl!
- This is an all-original Mark IX survivor – that is the original paint! And the shiny part was only washed – not even compounded yet!
- This car was absolutely incredible! I’ve never been a real big fan of the Jag saloons, but this old girl made me do a double take!
- LOOK AT THIS DOOR JAMB! This is absolutely perfect metal! Unbelievable!
- The red leather interior was all original and VERY impressive!
- Every part of the car was in fabulous condition!
- LOOK AT THIS!!! 1959!!!
- Trust me, this is going to look great when it is buffed out.
- I just couldn’t get enough of this great car!
- Automatic.
- With a 3.8-liter XK engine – now THAT is what I call a luxury car!
- This is the roadster that the owner droive up when he looked over the red coupe. He also purchased this recently, and the bonnet is a real mixed bag!
- Series 1.5 mouth and headlamps, Series 2 bumpers, turn signals, and side markers? Weird!
- A very well made British fiberglass Series 1 bonnet. This was a great bonnet, but probably weighs as much or more than steel – it was THICK!
- One of many original Churchill tools in this shop.
- LOTS of transmissions – this Jag enthusiast has lived here for 6 short months, but you would have thought he had been rebuilding Jags in this garage for DECADES!
