We had a chance to prime some of the “stock” pieces we were working on last week, and these pieces are all available for sale – which is RARE around here – so get them while you can!
These perfectly restored original panels fit MUCH BETTER than the “new” panels – IF you can find them in stock somewhere. These have two coats of high-quality, DuPont self-etching primer over scuffed bare steel – they are all READY TO GO – and COST LESS that the poorly fitting “new” reproductions! If you need it – get it before someone else does!
Usually, customers call and ask for panels, and we choose good, restorable panels from our stock, and then restore those panels to order. What you are seeing here are THE BEST OF THE BEST – panels that needed very little metalwork aside from “blast and prime”. Each of these has been hunted down by me personally, and picked up and delivered here safely by me as well. This is not your typical eBay crap filled with Bondo, rust, dents, and undercoating – go back a few blogs and you can see many of these same pieces in bare metal, These are all 100%, 100-point show-car ready! These panels would almost never be available – just kept on the shelf for future projects or the shops we work with closely, BUT…
On March 4th, we are FINALLY going to have the new shop finished off inside! And we’re not fooling around – we’re going ALL OUT with this – bathroom, office, customer area, packing area, insulation, central air and heating, flooring – THE WORKS! It will still be relatively small, but it will be comfortable and have everything we need. That means we need two things ASAP – space and a little extra funding! We are clearing out project cars and parts left and right – there’s just too much E-Type stuff around here! <—- hmmmm, didn’t think I’d ever say that!
So take a look – if there’s something here you can use, give me a call. These panels are all originals that have been blasted bare, any dents or wrinkles hammered out and smoothed, and any rust areas seamlessy patched. But there is very little of either on these panels – and we have “before, during, and after photos” of every panel to prove what is under this thin layer of rather expensive self-etching primer – nothing but solid steel, baby…
Don’t wait – call now! And even if it is already sold, we can still grab more panels from our stock and build whatever you need – ALWAYS to this high standard!
- LH Inner Valance (air tube…) for Series 1 or 1.5 bonnets. These are getting harder to find all the time in this condition…
- RH Inner Valances for Series 1 or Series 1.5 bonnets. We have two of these ready to go! The typical tear in the lower rear corner has been TIG-welded up and ground smooth, and a strengthening bead of weld has been added so it will not tear again. This is a factory flaw in the E-Type bonnet – these ALL tear! We weld up the tear so that it is invisible, and then strngthen it so it never comes back!
- Matched pair of Series 3 V-12 Inner Valances. These are for a later model V-12 with the shock-absorbers built into the front bumpers – note recess in the air tuve and cone-shaped recess in the flat area. However, these will fit and work on all Series 3 bonnets – with or without the bumper shocks.
- LH Series 1.5 Wing. Very good – we welded up some rust in the long flange, and took out some poorly repaird dents in the forward section. It is perfect now – NO filler needed. This wing can also be converted to Series 1 covered headlamp configuration for an additional charge.
- RH Series 2 Wing. 100% perfect original – a true “blast and prime” – not even one speck of surface rust or ANY pitting – inside or out. This is THE MOST PERFECT RH Series 2 E-Type wing on the face of the earth!
- Series 3 V-12 wings – matched pair. Excellent! A couple of small dents were taken out and a fold in one of the headlight cut-outs. As you can see from the photo, the work was done flawlessy and the wings are now perfect – NO filler needed. I took this photo without a flash so the shadows would pick up the absolutely flawless wheel arches. These will fit all Series 3 V-12 bonnets, and they will also bolt right up to Series 2 bonnets without modification if you would like to run wide wheels and tires. OR – we can convert these to Series 1 wings by cutting out the holes and welding in the brackets for the Series 1 turn signals, and welding in the stepped flange for the covered headlamps – but of course still keeping the flared, higher-arched wheel-well of the Series 3. Put some BIG WIDE meats on the front of your Series 1 that way!Now THAT would be cool!
- This is the RH wing of the pair above – a perfect original that is BETTER than new!
- And a perfect LH to match!
