These mounts rarely break off, but they do seem to get “removed” alot for some reason or another…
A customer called about this piece earlier this week, so we folded up a batch of these today. On the aftermarket picture frames (and some very late Series 1 original cars – I think…), the spot-welded tab for this mount goes all the way across the top width of the picture frame. This piece is patterned after what most Series 1 cars look like in their original form. Take a look!

This is sitting on an original picture frame upside-down, to show you that it is a dead match.

If these holes aren’t PERFECT, the motor won’t fit – there is almost zero room for error here.

Another shot – the tabs, the angles, the holes, the thickness, even the radius of the bends is a precise copy of the original.

Aftermarket picture frames have wider tabs on the front, and the top tab goes all the way across the top of the picture frame.

Another perfect panel from Monocoque Metalworks! FYI – the backdrop is the etch-primed inside of a Coupe door skin…
